We would like to introduce to you, Darryl our Finance Director.

Darryl qualified as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA) in 1979 working with Cheshire County Council. In 1985 he was promoted to Head of Finance for Cheshire Constabulary managing a budget which would equate to over £200 million pounds now. He was immediately thrown into the role of being finance coordinator for all Forces engaged in the Miners strike. He left in 1990 to start his own Accountancy practise but also, over time, became a partner or director in about 9 other businesses, some of which he is still involved in. All in all these years have given Darryl a wide spectrum of financial experience and knowledge to apply usefully to Outsourced Utilities.

Darryl’s role is to use his experience to help Outsourced Utilities to develop and expand and also to provide day to day accountancy advice whilst also doing the usual – preparing interim and annual accounts, VAT Returns, projections and wages.

He has been helping Owen informally since incorporation in 2014 and over the last year or so more formally as a paid Director.

Interesting fact…

Darryl once met Princess Anne and the Home Secretary Douglas Hurd in his other Constabulary role as Accountant for the Police Athletic Association. He has a group photo with them, including a whole host of Chief Constables, of that day

In his spare time Darryl loves to go walking or cycling, playing tennis, watching the football and going to music concerts.
